INKO has installed nearly three hundred photovoltaic panels on its roof, providing 30% of the electricity consumed daily. This significant investment was supported by the Junta de Andalucía, which, through the Energy Agency, provided 50% of the funding. The Delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga, Patricia Navarro, accompanied by the mayor of Coín, Francisco Santos, and other council members, visited the factory to observe firsthand the important sustainability efforts of the company.
For years, INKO has implemented measures in its production chain to achieve increasingly sustainable and environmentally respectful operations. In this regard, the company recently obtained ISO 14001 certification, which confirms compliance with strict requirements to ensure an efficient environmental management system. Key measures include the use of wood from controlled forests, maximizing raw material utilization, and employing recycled materials, such as cardboard for product packaging and recycled paper for all internal documentation. INKO also has a system to control dust and harmful particle emissions throughout the factory and uses special lacquers, like the BIO line from Ilva, which is characterized by the highest level of renewable raw materials ever achieved.
